I have an essay up at Mamaphonic!

This is one of the first essays I wrote when I started writing seriously again. It was for a non-fiction writing workshop. It has been through many revisions (more than I'm sure were worth it) and has been rejected by many publications. But I finally found a home for it. Thank you Mamphonic!

Well done Rachel. Your essay made me smile-- you're not alone. I took a class for mom- writers specifically, here in Vancouver, but it is also on line. You might want to check it out: http://www.themomoirproject.com/

It's a kind place to learn, and great people. I have a few pieces on the site too. cheers.

Congrats, Rachel! I feel proud to have been your friend through part of this journey. I am sure this is just the first of many more publications!

Reading this has inspired me to get more serious with my own essays. Rachel talks about issues that many of us face. Thanks!
